This full-day tour offers a dynamic journey through two sides of Portugal, its wild coastal beauty and its rich medieval heritage.
The experience begins with transport from Lisbon to Peniche, where participants board a boat to the Berlengas Archipelago, a protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The island's natural landscape is defined by its rugged cliffs, crystalline waters and seabird sanctuaries. The visit includes a guided boat tour through sea caves, showcasing the raw geology of the Atlantic and centuries of erosion carved into stone.
Upon arrival, visitors can admire the Fortress of São João Baptista, a 17th-century structure built directly into the island’s rock, offering a unique blend of architecture and natural surroundings.
After returning to the mainland, the tour continues to Óbidos, one of Portugal’s most picturesque medieval towns. Surrounded by intact stone walls, Óbidos invites visitors to explore its whitewashed alleys, artisan shops and literary cafés. Participants enjoy free time to walk the ramparts, taste the famous cherry liqueur or simply absorb the village’s timeless charm.
This tour is ideal for travellers looking to combine nature, culture and independence, with transport from Lisbon and optional hotel pick-up included.
